About Me
My background is in the creative and media industries. For twenty-five years I worked in music, journalism, design, television and in the digital world. My own experiences with counselling and therapy led to my change of career.
My core training is in Transactional Analysis (TA) and I hold a postgraduate diploma in TA psychotherapeutic counselling.
I have worked with NHS clients and at a mental health charity and am in private practice which I run from my home.
As part of my continuing professional developmentĀ (CPD) I regularly attend specialist training and workshops to enhance and update my practice.
Alongside my client work, I am on the committee of the Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in North London (ACPNL) and served for five years as chair. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I also belong to The Relational School – a community of psychotherapists and counsellors who are dedicated to broadening their understanding of the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship.
Like the majority of therapists, I am in regular professional supervision and strictly adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework which supports the importance I give to safety, confidentiality, respect and equality.
